Opening Microsoft Word

Use the mouse to click the Start button at the bottom left hand corner of the screen

Use the mouse to move up and select Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word or whatever program you want to open. 

The application will open and is ready to use

Saving the document

To save a document for the first time there are 2 methods:

• Click on the File Menu, and select Save
• In the window that appears, select where you want to save it (such as in the 3 ½ inch floppy) and what you want to call it
• The first time you save, select either Save or Save As and the Save As window will appear
• To Save the same document again to the same place with the same name select Save each time

But if you want to change where the document is saved or what it is called, select Save As
